KIRKLAND, Wash.(AP) -- The Seattle Seahawks have retained two more of their own free agents, agreeing to terms with center Robbie Tobeck and special teams standout Alex Bannister.
Tobeck is expected to sign a two-year deal Thursday worth $1.785 million with a $250,000 bonus, playing each year at the veteran minimum. Bannister's deal is worth $4 million over four years with a $1 million bonus.
The 35-year-old Tobeck is a team captain and leader in the locker room, known as much for his practical jokes as for his effective blocking. He spent seven years with Atlanta before joining Seattle in 2000.
Bannister, who turns 26 next month, has been a backup receiver during his four NFL seasons while developing into one of the league's top players on special teams.
He handles the "bullet" position, racing downfield to cover punts. Bannister made the Pro Bowl after the 2003 season. He missed the last nine games last season after breaking his collarbone Oct. 31 against Carolina.
Seattle has kept the core of its offense intact, re-signing quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and tackle Walter Jones to long-term contracts while retaining rights to running back Shaun Alexander by naming him the franchise player.
Still unsigned is guard Chris Gray, like Tobeck a proven veteran on the line.
During free agency, Seattle has added receiver Joe Jurevicius, cornerback Kelly Herndon, defensive end Bryce Fisher, linebacker Kevin Bentley and defensive tackle Chartric Darby.
Seattle's losses were cornerback Ken Lucas, who signed with Carolina, and defensive end Chike Okeafor, who went to Arizona. Backup fullback Heath Evans went to Miami and reserve linebacker Orlando Huff to Arizona.
